All around the country, police departments are using violence and coercion to rid cities of peaceful protesters who are practicing the very universal rights that you referenced when addressing the protests in Egypt.

Hey guys. Please, please take two minutes and sign this. The police brutality is disgusting; there are people my age getting peppersprayed in the face while sitting on the curb. There are people my age getting tasered for refusing to stop protesting. I don’t necessarily agree with the vitality of the Occupy mission, but regardless, the government has promised us freedom of speech, we have the freedom to peacefully protest, and yet the police are harming the individuals they are supposed to be protecting. PLEASE stop this. It’s out of control. Your signatures can help.
